Set of six original Gustav Stickley dining chairs, model #353

Set of six Gustav Stickley dining chairs, model #353, in original reddish nut-brown finish and original rush seats. Each is signed with the firms small red decal on the back of the stretcher. The rush on three of the seats has some damage, the other three are in very good condition with a few light areas from wear. These chairs, shown in the 1904 catalogue, were also offered with drop-in leather (padded) seats. The chairs and seats are in slightly dusty and unwaxed condition at this time. The options for the seats are: ...for the purist, use them as they are,...or..repair the broken rush & replace any missing pieces of rush, re-rush the seats, or save the rush seats and replace with padded leather seats as shown in the 1904 catalogue. Fabric is another option. These chairs are very similar to the inlaid dining chairs, the inlaid chairs being slightly taller with the double crest rail and with lower side stretchers. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
